This Privacy Policy explains how Password Generator ("the app") handles information when you download and use it. Password Generator is designed with security and minimal data collection as core principles.
Password Generator does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use. The app does not collect your name, email address, contact list, location, or any other personally identifiable information.
This is the most important thing to know: passwords generated by this app are never written to persistent storage of any kind. They exist only in the app's memory while the app is open, and are permanently gone the moment you close or restart the app. Nothing password-related is ever saved to disk, backed up, or transmitted anywhere.
To make the app more convenient, Password Generator saves your preferred settings - such as password length and which character types you like to include - directly on your device, using standard local storage. This is limited to your preferences only, never to any password you've generated. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us or to any third party, and is removed automatically if you uninstall the app.
When you tap a generated password to copy it, the app writes that text to your device's clipboard. This happens only when you explicitly tap to copy, and the app does not read or monitor your clipboard at any other time.
Password Generator does not integrate any advertising networks, analytics trackers, or third-party SDKs that collect user data. If this ever changes in a future update, this policy will be updated in advance of that change taking effect, and the updated version will be made available on this app's Google Play Store listing.
Password Generator does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Since no personal data is collected by the app at all, no age-specific data handling is required.
Password generation uses your device's cryptographically secure random number source. Because settings are the only data stored, and they are kept locally on your device rather than on a remote server, there is no transmission of sensitive information over the internet and no external database where it could be exposed.
You can clear all app data through your device's system settings (Settings > Apps > Password Generator > Storage > Clear Data), or by uninstalling the app.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the app's functionality. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
